Semi Mature Tree Planting

Semi-mature Trees add instant height, colour, and movement to a space and can help screen unsightly views, protect from prevailing winds, help with noise reduction and provide privacy.

Hand selected, supply and plant only the best quality semi-mature trees grown by our selected nurseries and growers. Care is taken to choose the right tree for your location with soil type, aspect, local environment and growth habit taken into consideration.

MN Horticulture have an experienced planting team who provide optimum support for the new tree with staking and ground anchoring systems, compost and additional fertilizer with water retention granules to encourage the development of a strong fibrous root system. This is combined with our follow up service to ensure the tree flourishes in its new environment.

Container grown Semi-mature Trees can be planted throughout the year whilst field grown trees are supplied and planted during the late autumn and winter months.

MN Horticulture also have extensive experience of selecting trained trees as part of a new design or garden layout. Pleached trees usually have a clear stem of 1.8m metres (fence height), above which the tree is trained into 4 or 5 rows forming a square and are suitable for planting against walls or may be used for screening and walkways. Roof trees are ideal for patios and terraces. They have a flat roof-shaped canopy with a clear stem of about 2 metres. Box head trees are used to create a formal line of interest, whilst leading to other garden areas.
